Here at The Murder Mystery Company, we dish up three courses of mystery, intrigue, and murder in two hours of interactive, Clue-style goodness. The moment you walk through the door you will be immersed in a thrilling whodunit experience, mingling with crazy characters and shady suspects in a game of murder you get to play!
A murder mystery dinner show is a live, interactive theater experience where professional actors perform a whodunit story around your meal — and you're part of it. At The Old Spaghetti Factory in Midtown Sacramento, you'll spend the evening investigating clues, questioning suspects, and trying to solve the crime before anyone else at the table does. It's dinner theater where the audience does as much work as the cast.
The show itself runs approximately two hours. Doors open thirty minutes before showtime, and we recommend arriving within that window — late arrivals are not permitted entry once the show has begun. Plan for roughly two and a half to three hours total for the full evening including dinner.
Tickets can be purchased through our website at murdermysterydinnersacramento.com. Gift cards are also available and can be redeemed for ticket purchases through Eventbrite. Note that gift cards apply to public show tickets only and cannot be used toward private events.
Shows are held in a private event space at The Old Spaghetti Factory, located at 1910 J Street in Midtown Sacramento. The restaurant has an attached on-site parking lot. If you're coming from downtown, it's about a half mile away — a five-minute drive or a short walk.
Yes. The Old Spaghetti Factory is in Midtown Sacramento at 1910 J Street, well-served by Sacramento Regional Transit. Several bus lines run along J Street and the surrounding grid, and the light rail stops within walking distance in both the downtown and Midtown corridors. If you're coming from elsewhere in the region, the light rail connects to the broader RT network and makes the Midtown area easy to reach without a car. Check Sacramento RT's trip planner at sacrt.com for routes and timing from your starting point.
Business casual is perfectly appropriate. Dressing to the theme of the show is encouraged if you want to lean in — there's a Best Costume award at the end of the night — but it's never required. Come as you are.

The shows run at a PG-10 to PG-13 level. There's no swearing or graphic content, but the scripts include innuendo and adult situations that may not be suitable for younger children. Families do attend, and children are welcome at a parent's discretion — though most guests are 18 and up. There is no separate kids' menu or adjusted ticket pricing for children.
Seating is based on party size. When you arrive, let the host or hostess know how many are in your group and they'll seat you together. Tables accommodate six to ten people. Larger groups may be placed at adjacent tables.
